Yesterday, February 16th, just before 11 am a female Murrah High School student jumped from the I-55 bridge over the Woodrow Wilson exit.
Message from the Jackson Public School District:
The Jackson Public School District is deeply saddened by the recent death of a Murrah High School scholar. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, classmates, and to all Murrah High School team members. We have implemented our District’s emergency response plan to provide needed support during this difficult time. Counselors are available to assist scholars at the school building. We ask for your thoughts and prayers on behalf of all the loved ones affected by this terrible loss.
