GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville couple has been arrested following a major drug and theft investigation carried out by the city’s Special Operations Unit and Special Response Team.

On Monday, July 28, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a residence located at 2523 Bobolink Place. Inside, investigators uncovered 1.7 pounds of methamphetamine—a felony trafficking amount—along with psychedelic mushrooms. Officers also found multiple blue totes filled with copper wiring and City of Greenville water meters, suggesting stolen municipal property.

The suspects, identified as 62-year-old Danny Dycus and his wife, 61-year-old Susan Dycus, were both taken into custody. Each faces charges of felony trafficking of methamphetamine, felony possession of mushrooms, felony possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. Danny Dycus is additionally charged with grand larceny.

Greenville Police Chief Marcus Turner commended his department’s efforts in a public statement.
“We’re going to continue to put pressure on those criminals and hold them responsible for the damage they’re implementing to our citizens and this community,” Turner said. “We thank our citizens for the calls of concern about our community that help us solve these issues.”

Danny Dycus is being held on a $150,000 bond, while Susan Dycus is held on a $120,000 bond at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility. Both remain in custody pending further legal proceedings and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
