BELZONI, Miss.–Several landspouts and dust devils were reported across the Delta over the weekend.
One landspout, which is a weaker form of tornado than is associated with a strong thunderstorm, was reported and photographed south of Belzoni in Humphreys County Friday evening. No damage was reported.
A strong dust devil that was associated with rising heat from a fire was videoed near Grace, which is near Rolling Fork, Saturday and was posted by North Mississippi Storm Chasers and Spotters on Facebook.
An additional landspout was observed last week in Bolivar County.
