GREENWOOD, Miss.–County workers in Leflore County are getting a raise. The Board of Supervisors voted to do that in their meeting this week.
But, that raise comes with some scrutiny.
Board members say workers will be more strictly evaluated and their performance will be monitored to make sure they are continuously earning that raise.
Greenville and Indianola have recently announced raises for city workers. In Greenville both the police and fire departments have gotten substantial base pay raises.
