CLEVELAND, Miss. — A 20-year-old woman was shot during a domestic dispute Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in Cleveland, authorities said.

Bolivar County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Rash Apartments at about 9:45 a.m. Jan. 21 after receiving a report of a woman who had been shot. When deputies arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground inside a gazebo with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff’s office.

The victim was identified as Jamiya Williams, 20, of Cleveland. Williams told deputies she was shot by her boyfriend, Dontavious Wade, 24, also of Cleveland, during a domestic dispute, authorities said.
Williams was taken to Bolivar Medical Center and later transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was listed in stable condition.
