GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting after police discovered a body near a railroad track Thursday.
Authorities identified the victim as Corey Webster, 48, who was found in a wooded area near Shamoon Lane. Investigators believe Webster was shot earlier in the 900 block of Nelson Street following an argument with Tristan Mason, 43.
Mason has been charged with First-Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. A municipal judge set his bond at $500,000, and he remains in custody at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility.
