Greenville — A domestic dispute between two brothers escalated into a shooting Saturday night, leaving one man injured and prompting a search for the suspect, police said.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Northview on April 11, 2026, after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they determined that 27-year-old Donnerick Shaw and his 25-year-old brother, Deontre Jones, had been arguing before the situation turned violent.

According to witnesses, the brothers struggled over a firearm during the dispute. The gun discharged during the struggle, striking Shaw in the lower abdomen.

Emergency responders transported Shaw to a local hospital before officials airlifted him to another facility for additional treatment. Authorities have not released his condition.

Investigators say Jones fled the scene, and officers are actively searching for him. The investigation remains ongoing.
