WATER VALLEY, Miss.–The man who was killed in a dog attack at an animal shelter in Yalobusha County has been identified as Clifford Phillips, Jr., 57.
The attack happened last Friday when Phillips was trying to put two dogs in a kennel at the Second Chance Animal Alliance Shelter on Hwy. 315, reported the North Mississippi Herald.
Coroner Ronnie Stark said Phillips, who was a worker at the shelter, died from his injuries, which were unspecified.
