NDIANOLA, Miss.–The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has released to the public the police incident report that was taken when 11-year-old Aderrien Murry was shot by Indianola Police Sgt. Greg Capers, May 20.
The report does not contain much new information in its 277 pages. It includes witness statements, and an indication there may have been other people in the house that night besides Murry, his mother and the boyfriend. It does not include any statements from the boyfriend, who was the subject of the 911 call.
The report contains photos from the house, the yard and a picture of the shirt that was worn by the child, which has a bullet hole in it.
The MBI redacted most of the personal information in the report.
Earlier this week the agency also released about two minutes of bodycam video from Capers, showing the shooting.
Capers was not charged, based on the info contained in the report and video. He is back on the force in Indianola.
