GREENWOOD, Miss.–Medicaid expansion has passed the state Senate Medicaid Committee, with the support of Green wood Sen. David Jordan.
The Senate version that passed out of committee this week is close to the same as the version that passed on the House floor last week, with support from all delta representatives, except the ones representing DeSoto County.
You would have to be working and your job cannot provide you with insurance.
It is estimated that more than a quarter million more Mississippians would be eligible for Medicaid, if the bill becomes law.
Both the House and Senate must agree on a version of the bill. Gov. Tate Reeves has been vocally opposed to the idea of Medicaid expansion.
