GUNNISON, Miss. — A Gunnison man reported missing earlier this week has been found dead in Bolivar County, authorities confirmed Wednesday.
Lellon Edward Couey, 57, was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday, June 10. He was last seen two days earlier, on Sunday, June 8, around 3 p.m. in the 400 block of Donaldson Point Road.
The Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department said Couey’s body was discovered in the same area where he was last seen. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
