The city of Mound Bayou is gearing up for its annual Fall Health and Unity Day, scheduled to take place on October 28 from 10 am to 1 pm. The event promises a day filled with activities aimed at promoting community wellness and unity.

The 3rd annual prayer walk will be one of the highlights of the day, providing an opportunity for the community to come together in prayer and solidarity. In addition to the prayer walk, attendees can participate in “Move with the Mayor” and “Paint it Pink” events.

Breast cancer awareness will be a significant focus during the event, and attendees are encouraged to wear pink as a symbol of their support for this crucial cause. The event will commence at Mound Bayou City Hall and conclude at Taborian Hospital, where various health and wellness vendors will be present.

Throughout the day, attendees can take advantage of health information screenings, participate in prayers led by community pastors, engage in conversations with the Mayor, and witness the recognition of breast cancer survivors who have shown incredible resilience and courage. Free food will also be available, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the event to its fullest.
