GRENADA, Miss.— Several people were shot in Grenada early Saturday morning, according to the police chief. One of them was killed.
All of the shootings happened before the sun came up.
At about 2:30, Charles Coffey, 36, was shot and killed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr.
About an hour and 15 minutes later, a nine-year-old girl was hit by a bullet when someone shot into her apartment. Two other people were also shot the same morning.
Police Chief George Douglas said four other people were also shot Monday evening. He did not provide their conditions.
