Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU) will host its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Black History Convocation on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. The event will take place in the Walter Roberts Auditorium of the H.G. Carpenter Building.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Commissioner Willie Simmons, who is expected to speak on the themes of service and equality, in honor of Dr. King’s legacy. The convocation is part of MVSU’s Black History Month celebrations, aimed at educating the community and honoring African American history.
The event is free and open to the public.
