VICKSBURG, Miss.–Severe weather is possible in the south Delta Monday and Tuesday, said National Weather Service, Jackson office, senior forecaster Mike Edmunston.
“By late afternoon, generally along a line west of Brookhaven all the way up to like Lake Village and Greenville,” he said, describing the area for the main threat of strong storms.
The main threats are damaging winds, heavy rain and hail up to the size of quarters.
Edmunston said that once strong storms are over Monday night, you’ll see the threat build in again Tuesday. Once that round is over, you’ll see the likelihood of more rain, heavy at times, coming back on Thursday and Friday.
