New Assistant Principal Announced at Western Line School District’s O’Bannon High School

GREENVILLE, Miss.  — Western Line School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Hynes as the new Assistant Principal of 0’Bannon High School. The district is excited to welcome Hynes and his wealth of experience in education and leadership.

A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Hynes graduated from Greenville High School in 1989. He began his educational journey at Mississippi Valley State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Hynes then ventured into the field of education in 1998, working with the Greenville Public School District. Motivated by his passion for teaching, he pursued further studies at Delta State University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Education in 2004. Hynes continued to expand his knowledge and qualifications, earning a Masters of Education in 2015 and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2022.

With an impressive 25 years of dedicated service to the profession, Hynes has demonstrated his commitment to shaping young minds. He served as an elementary math instructor at 0’Bannon Elementary from 2015 to 2023, contributing significantly to the academic growth of his students.
