SARDIS, Miss.–The man accused of enticement of a child by the Panola County Sheriff’s Dept. is a newly-sworn Sardis police officer.

Amaris Howard has been charged with three counts of enticement of a child to produce visual depictions of sexual content. Neither the sheriff’s department, nor the Sardis Police Department were willing to release details about the case.
Howard was charged after an investigation began March 5. He was arrested Monday.
The investigation is being handled partly by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
