CHICAGO, IL IBen Caxton) — The NBA Draft Lottery and NBA Draft Combine, both scheduled to take place later this month in Chicago, have been postponed as the league continues to closely monitor the coronavirus pandemic. The NBA is still trying to figure out how to finish the current season which was shut down in March with most teams having about 15 games left to play. At that time the Memphis Grizzlies had the 8th and final playoff seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile Jalen Green, a high school guard from Fresno who was being recruited to play at the University of Memphis, will go the NBAâs G-League. Memphis coach Penny Hardaway isnât happy that some of the best young talent is being taken away from the college game and while he believes the NCAA is moving in the right direction to offset the G-League by allowing college players to make money from their name, image and likeness he thinks more drastic measures need to be taken.
