COAHOMA COUNTY, Miss. — One person was seriously injured Monday afternoon following a collision between a passenger vehicle and a tractor on Highway 61 North, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m. Jan. 19, prompting a response from the Coahoma County Fire Department and Pafford EMS. First responders arrived to find one individual suffering from significant traumatic injuries.
The injured person was airlifted from the scene to a regional trauma center. The extent of the injuries has not been released.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the collision.
