RENOVA, Miss. — An 18-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting late Thursday night in Renova, according to the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a shots fired call around 11:46 p.m. in the area of 104 Isola Street. Upon arrival, they located the crime scene nearby at 114 Isola Street and learned the victim had driven himself to Bolivar Medical Center.
The victim, identified as Samuel Smith, 18, of Cleveland, was later airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., where he remains in critical condition.
Investigators said the shooting stemmed from an argument.
Chadrick Smith Jr., also of Cleveland, is wanted in connection with the shooting. Authorities are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office at 662-843-5378 or Cleveland-Bolivar County Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
