OXFORD, Miss.–A man who police say stalked a woman, then led police on a chase when they tried to arrest him now faces several felony charges.
According to a news release from Oxford Police, officers responded last Wednesday to a parking garage near the Oxford square, where Mitchell Wren, 23, was being accused of violating a restraining order.
When Wren saw officers approaching he sped away and the officers chased him,. but decided to break off the chase for public safety reasons. They were able to track Wren down Thursday and arrest him.
He now faces charges of aggravated stalking, felony fleeing and violation of the protection order for which he was approached Wednesday.
