OXFORD, Miss.–A man from Oxford was charged with rape by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Dept.
The assault was reported last Wednesday at the Baptist Hospital Emergency Room. After an investigation deputies arrested Cory Lemond Smith, 47.
Police did not discuss any details about the case, but said Smith turned himself in and was booked Friday, with his bond set at $100,000.
