BATESVILLE, Miss.–A Panola County man has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of a woman whose truck was found crashed into a tree on Hwy. 3, July 26.
The Panola County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Miss. Bureau of Investigation announced the arrest of Cotell Motley, 36. Motley was picked up Monday by U.S. Marshals.
Amanda Listron was found dead behind the wheel of her pickup and her death was initially thought to have been caused by her crashing into a tree. But, investigators determined she had been shot.
No further details, including a motive, have been discussed publicly.
