LYON, Miss.–A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed accidentally by another 13-year-old boy while both were playing with a gun at a house in Lyon, in Coahoma County, say police. Now the parents of the boy who pulled the trigger are being charged, along with their son.
The 13-year-old is being charged with manslaughter culpable negligence., as an adult, which is a felony.
His father, Gill Marshall, 65, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child and being a felon with a firearm.
The boy’s mother, Lashaner Marshall, 47, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child.
The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Dept. has not discussed the rationale behind the charges.
