The Greenville Police Department is currently investigating an early morning accident that left one pedestrian dead. On March 16, around 2 am, officers responded to the 3000 block of Highway 82 East about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The victim has been identified as a 66-year-old black male whose identity has not been released, pending family notification. One person is interested in custody, and this case is still under investigation.
