JACKSON, M (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi is reporting 261 deaths from coronavirus. Arkansas has confirmed 3255 cases and 61 deaths while Tennessee has 10,735 cases with 199 deaths. There will be no live music but clubs and restaurants on Beale Street can reopen Monday. Before COVID-19 about 100,000 people visited downtown Memphis and the historic Beale Street entertainment district every day. For most people coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms such as fever and cough but for older adults and people with existing health problems, the highly contagious virus can cause severe symptoms and be fatal. Additionally Governor Tate Reeves and state Agriculture commissioner Andy Gipson say there is no shortage of food in the state or country and there’s no need to hoard food as there is plenty for everyone.
