GREENVILLE, Miss.–Greenville will be operating the next fiscal year on a budget similar to the one for the current fiscal year. So, the city council has seen fit not to raise ad valorem taxes.
For residents of Greenville, that means if they had no change in the assessed valuation of their property, there will be no change in the amount of taxes owed.
That counts for property, rental property, car tags, business fixtures and everything covered by ad valorem taxes.
A public hearing for the new budget was held Thursday evening at City Hall.
The budget will be made with revenues projected at about $64.8 million.
