HERNANDO, Miss.–The reward being offered for info that leads to the capture of DeSoto County escapee and career criminal Joshua Zimmerman has been doubled. The U.S. Marshals Service is now offering $10,000.
Sheriff Thomas Tuggle said this weekend he believes Zimmerman, who has connections to Memphis and Connecticut, and who potentially faces a charge in a fatal shooting in Houston, Texas, has likely left Mississippi. But, he is still urging people to keep a sharp lookout and to consider Zimmerman armed and dangerous.
Zimmerman was able to get away in civilian clothes Friday morning. He was at the courthouse in Hernando for a hearing.
He faces an attempted murder charge and other felonies in DeSoto County.
