CLEVELAND, Miss.–“Numerous” severe storms are possible in the northern Delta counties Tuesday afternoon and evening, said the National Weather Service.
“It’s going to be an afternoon and evening type event,” said National Weather Service forecaster Nicholas Fenner.
He said a front will come through and storms will develop out ahead of that front, much like a mid-April storm system.
“Except now there’s just a little bit more heat and instability to juice up those storms,” he said.
You should be on the lookout for any watches or warnings and hail, strong and damaging winds and even tornadoes are possible. The threat level for the upper Delta is three in five, while the threat level for southern Delta counties will be two in five.
