GREENVILLE, Miss.–Severe weather is possible Thursday through Saturday in the Delta, with a storm system that is expected to bring several rounds of heavy rain.
“This rain looks like it’s gonna be heavy enough to possibly cause some localized flash flooding,” said National Weather Service forecaster Eric Carpenter, with the Jackson office. He said the marginal risk for severe weather should start late Thursday.
“Mainly it looks like hail and damaging wind threats with those storms,” he said.
He added that additional threats may come with the next rounds of storms going through at least Saturday morning.
