GREENVILLE, Miss.–Severe weather is possible in the Delta Tuesday.
“We have a marginal risk for isolated severe thunderstorms as a cold front moves across the area,” said National Weather Service forecaster Dan Byrd, “starting early Tuesday afternoon, through the afternoon hours.”
Though the threat for all modes of severe weather will be present, the system is expected to move through quickly.
“You could see some damaging wind gusts and hail up to a quarter size or so,” said Byrd.
He said tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but it’s a low-end risk.
The threat should be done by Tuesday evening.
