SOUTHAVEN, Miss.–You might remember when Keith Tucker stabbed his father to death in 2021 in Southaven. A judge says he’ll pay for it with 45 years in prison.
Tucker, 46, was in what prosecutors called an alcohol-induced rage when he stabbed his father several times in the stomach, then went after his girlfriend and her daughter. They lived through it.
“While nothing we can do can remedy the harm that he caused, I hope this result will provide the family the strength needed to press forward,” said DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton.
“There is no place in our society for this kind of evil. I am grateful, through the tireless work of my team and the dedication of the Southaven Police Department, that this violent criminal is locked away, with no chance for appeal,” he said, in a prepared statement following the sentencing.
