CLEVELAND, Miss.–A student was stabbed Tuesday morning at Cleveland Central High School, not long after the first bell. A fellow student was arrested and charged with the crime.
According to a news release from Cleveland Police, a school resource officer and Cleveland Police quickly arrested Jamarion Dumas, 18. He is being charged with aggravated assault.
Police did not discuss a motive for the stabbing, nor did they provide a condition for the injured student.
Dumas made an initial court appearance and got a $100,000 bond. The case has been turned over to the Bolivar County District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
