Suspect in Greyhound Bus Homicide Arrested

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) has launched an inquiry into a fatal shooting aboard a Greyhound bus near mile markers 57-61 on Interstate 10 in Jackson County. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on March 24th, 2024. According to authorities, 26-year-old Rashad Price, hailing from Slidell, Louisiana, fatally shot 25-year-old Jay Jackson of Decatur, Georgia, while the bus was en route eastbound through Mississippi on I-10. Price allegedly demanded the driver to halt the vehicle before fleeing.

The driver promptly diverted to the nearest exit and contacted emergency services. Fortunately, no other passengers sustained injuries during the altercation. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department later spotted Price crossing the interstate around 3:00 a.m. on March 25th, 2024. He was apprehended without resistance and now faces charges of homicide.
