ROBINSONVILLE, Miss.–A second person has been charged with capital murder in the November 2023 drive-by shooting that killed three people near Robinsonville in Tunica County.

Anthony “A.J.” Carter, Jr., 20, is charged with shooting into a motor vehicle, drive-by shooting and conspiracy to commit a crime in addition to capital murder, for the deaths of Tadnequa Moore, who was pregnant when she died; Steven Burts and Deshun Isabell. Their car was found having hit a pole, splitting the pole in half. It was also burned and had bullet holes in it.
The sheriff’s dept. believes Carter had previously tried to kill Burts and Isabell in drive-by shootings weeks before.
Carter has been in jail since the first week of April, charged with attempted murder in another shooting.
Deonte Taylor, 18, is also charged in the November crime. Both men are in the Tunica County Jail and face possible sentences of life in prison or death if they are convicted.
