CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Clarksdale police are investigating a murder-suicide that left two people dead and a third critically injured Wednesday morning at Westover Apartments.
Officers responded to the apartment complex at 1310 West Second Street at about 10:12 a.m. Aug. 12 after receiving a report of multiple people being shot.
Police found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. They were identified as Aaliyah Dudley, Lorenzo Murrell and Natasha Tillman.
Dudley and Murrell were pronounced dead at the scene. Tillman, Dudley’s mother, was airlifted to a medical facility and remained in critical condition.
According to investigators, Murrell, who was in a domestic relationship with Dudley, arrived at the apartment and shot Dudley and Tillman before turning the gun on himself.
Investigators determined the incident was a murder-suicide.
Next-of-kin notifications have been made. The remains of Dudley and Murrell were turned over to the Coahoma County coroner.
The investigation remains active. Police said no additional details are being released at this time.
