JACKSON, MS (1045 AM CDT Wed Apr 8 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northern Ashley County in southeastern Arkansas until 1145 AM CDT. At 1045 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fountain Hill, or 14 miles northwest of Hamburg, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Old Milo around 1050 AM CDT. Fountain Hill around 1055 AM CDT. Snyder around 1115 AM CDT. Montrose around 1125 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Blanchton. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
