JACKSON, MS (230 PM CST Mon Dec 16 2019) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Carroll County in north central Mississippi Grenada County in north central Mississippi Leflore County in north central Mississippi Montgomery County in north central Mississippi until 345 PM CST. At 230 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Money, or 7 miles northwest of Greenwood, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Leflore, Avalon and Teoc around 245 PM CST. Jefferson and Holcomb around 255 PM CST. Bew Springs around 300 PM CST. Grenada and Elliott around 305 PM CST. Duck Hill around 310 PM CST. Gore Springs around 315 PM CST. Misterton around 320 PM CST. Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Schlater, Morgan City and Carrollton. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
