MEMPHIS, TN (226 PM CDT Fri Jun 5 2020) — The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Phillips County in eastern Arkansas Northeastern Coahoma County in northwestern Mississippi Southwestern Tunica County in northwestern Mississippi Central Quitman County in northwestern Mississippi until 300 PM CDT. At 225 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Helena-West Helena, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Clarksdale, Helena-West Helena, St Francis National Park, Marks, Lambert, Jonestown, Friars Point, Belen, Darling, Kings, Dundee, Coahoma, Lyon, Lula, Rudyard, Moon, Barksdale, Preston Place, Quarles and Westover. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
