JACKSON, MS (156 PM CDT Fri Jul 31 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Chicot County in southeastern Arkansas Eastern Ashley County in southeastern Arkansas Western Washington County in northwestern Mississippi until 300 PM CDT. At 156 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Berlin, or 7 miles northwest of Wilmot, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will be near Wilmot around 200 PM CDT. Parkdale around 205 PM CDT. Portland around 210 PM CDT. Montrose around 215 PM CDT. Lake Village and Chicot Junction around 230 PM CDT. Avon and Wayside around 245 PM CDT. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
