JACKSON, MS (712 PM CDT Sun Jun 21 2020) — The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Yazoo County in central Mississippi Central Madison County in central Mississippi until 800 PM CDT. At 712 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Myrleville, or 13 miles southeast of Yazoo City, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE: Radar indicated. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Yazoo and central Madison Counties. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
