TUNICA, Miss.–Tunica County’s assessed tax valuation has gone down by $15 million since last year, said County Tax Collector Norma Anderson, in a report at this week’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
“The biggest decrease is gonna be from Schultz, which we lost $9,994,279.00,” she said.
Schultz was the largest company to leave the county and had been there for about 15 years.
For Majestic North America, this would be the equipment where they did the wind farm,” said Anderson. “It is no longer there. The assessed value we’re losing is $2,640,000.”
The value was also lost on several other smaller operations that have pulled out.
