Tunica Police Investigate Drive-by Shootings

TUNICA, Miss.–Drive-by shootings are not as uncommon in Tunica as you might think. Police are still investigating a shooting that hurt two juveniles last week when someone shot into their apartment and police have also arrested three people who they believe are responsible for drive-bys in February.
Thursday a mom called Tunica County deputies to the Cottonland Village Apartments. She said her two sons had been shot.
Police determined that the bullets had come from outside and are still looking for whomever may have fired the shots.
In the February incidents a house and an occupied car were shot up on Feb. 26. Just days after the incident deputies were able to arrest Prinderius Carter and Eric Oliver, Jr.
Thursday Ceedrick Wheeler turned himself in.
Prinnis Carter is the only one still on the run and is wanted for the shootings as well as possession of stolen property. Police say the car they used in the shootings was stolen.
