CLARKSDALE, Miss.–Two people were taken to the hospital via helicopter after a crash early Sunday morning in Coahoma County.
According to the Coahoma County Fire Dept., the wreck happened just after 2 a.m. on Hwy. 61 in the northern part of the county. When fire and rescue workers were dispatched they were told several people had been severely injured in the wreck.
It wasn’t clear how many vehicles or people were involved in the wreck.
An emergency helipad had to be established to land the chopper near the site of the wreck.
