CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Two men have been arrested in connection with the April homicide of a Clarksdale woman, according to the Clarksdale Police Department.
Police said officers responded April 19 to the 500 block of Page Street after receiving a report of a person who had been shot. When officers arrived, they found Mildred Robinson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death was ruled a homicide, and investigators launched what police described as an extensive investigation.
Following months of investigative work and assistance from community members, detectives identified two suspects and made arrests in the case.
Police charged Theddrick Powell Jr. and Gehad Alrabeei, also known as “Zack,” in connection with Robinson’s death.
According to police, Powell was arrested at his residence and is being held at the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office on a $1 million bond.
Authorities said Alrabeei was arrested outside Mississippi through the coordinated efforts of partnering law enforcement agencies. He is awaiting extradition to Coahoma County, where he will face charges related to the investigation.
The Clarksdale Police Department thanked investigators and community members whose cooperation helped advance the case.
Police said the investigation remains active, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
