MERIGOLD, Miss. — Two men have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the August shooting death of a Renova man, according to the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Devonte Beasley, 22, and Kelby Jackson, 20, both of Cleveland, were taken into custody in the homicide of Jacoby Broadway, 20. The killing occurred Aug. 22, 2025, on Bayou Road in Merigold.
Both suspects have been booked into the Bolivar County Regional Correctional Facility and face murder charges. Beasley is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Monday. Jackson has been denied bond, officials said.
No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the homicide were released.
