GREENVILLE, Miss. — Two women have been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian late Thursday night in Greenville, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Officers were notified at approximately 11:33 p.m. on Dec. 26 of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 82 and Colorado Street. When officers arrived, they found a white female lying in the roadway median with injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle, police said.
Pafford Ambulance Service responded to the scene and transported the victim to Delta Health Systems. The pedestrian was identified as 44-year-old Amanda Marie Jordan of Greenville, who later died from her injuries, authorities said.
Police arrested Tiaa Robinson, 26, of Southaven, and Kurstyn Wilson, 26, of Greenville, in connection with the incident. Robinson has been charged with driving under the influence and felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Wilson has been charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence and felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Both Robinson and Wilson are being held at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility while awaiting their initial court appearances.
The investigation remains ongoing.
