TCHULA, Miss.–Two people were murdered in separate incidents in Holmes County Sunday night. There were also two murders last week in the county.
A man was shot and killed in a drive-by about 6:30 Sunday evening in the Gwin community near Tchula. Sheriff Willie March did not provide the name of the victim to reports and said there have been no arrests.
Another man, Jamarcus Liddell Smith, 36, was murdered about four hours later in Lexington, which is east of Tchula.
Though in this case the victim was identified, police still have made no arrests.
Smith was shot while sitting in his car in the Schoolhouse Bottom area of town.
