YAZOO CITY, Miss.–A female staff member and an inmate were both stabbed at the Yazoo County Jail Tuesday, said Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, the sheriff said both had been treated.
The stabbing happened at 10:30 a.m., but other than that one detail, the sheriff said nothing else other than the incident is being investigated and the situation is under control.
No names were released.
