SENATOBIA, Miss.–Thirteen and fourteen year old sisters were two of the people arrested outside at a Senatobia apartment complex where a shooting had taken place Monday, says the girls’ mom.
Shanecia Miller told WREC TV in Memphis that her girls are locked up in a juvenile facility in Corinth.
She admitted that the girls challenged police verbally when told to get off the sidewalk. Police were collecting forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses. But, police say A’Laysha and Aniyah Miller laid hands on officers, punching one of them in the head.
They’ve been charged with simple assault on officers.
Police described the incident as a disturbance and said the girls were part of an unruly crowd that was disobedient and was interfering with police trung to do their jobs.
